Astana Mining & Metallurgy 2021
The Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress is one of the largest industry events in Asia and is being held on October 20th and 21st in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan). On October 20th, between 12:00 and 13:30, and in cooperation with the leaders of the largest mining companies from Kazakhstan and Russia, we are holding a plenary discussion on “Increasing the efficiency of the mining and metallurgical complex through the digital transformation of the industry”.
The conversation will center on the issues of digital transformation:
- Has the pandemic changed the perception of mining enterprise digitalization? Has it become a driver of digital transformation in the industry as a whole?
- How are current technological processes changing, and what changes are foreseeable in the next 3-5 years? Case studies from Kazakhstan and other countries.
- How to market the idea of digital transformation to senior management, and who should be the frontman of the process? What skills do the team need?
- Cross-industry application of digital technologies and solutions that can be used by both the mining and metallurgical industries.
- Also on Oct. 20th, between 16:30 and 18:00, we are holding a business session on the robotization of mining transport and equipment, where participants will share their experience and discuss topical issues in the industry:
- Challenges for the mining industry in Kazakhstan (competitiveness, health and safety, technology, processes, continuous work during a pandemic, lack of qualified personnel)
- How does mining robotization affect competitiveness? Projects from Kazakhstan and other countries.
Industrial safety issues:
- What trends currently exist in the world for ensuring industrial safety and labor protection? What are the most advanced and industry applicable technologies available?
- Experiences from Kazakhstan. The digital mine, the AltynAlmas strategy regarding labor protection: which solutions have already shown their effectiveness, and which ones are in the plans?
- How to digitally calculate the hazardous risks of coal mines.
